The last of summer berries.

When you can pick these strawberries in the morning and serve them just an hour later, why mess with them?

Last night I made Greek yogurt, and this morning, I'm ready to eat a cupful with these beauties.
The rest of them, are all spoken for.

1. Spinach, chevre and strawberry salad for lunch
2. Pancakes and strawberries for Saturday breakfast
3.  Cookie crust pie for tonight's dessert, topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream

If I have any left over, I will freeze them!

  1. My dad used to make loads of strawberry jam to last through the cold months. A tasty treat that kept us dreaming of summer. These look yummy.

  2. Strawberry pancakes...my favorite! I don't have them very often, but I make sure that everytime I go to the Oregon coast I stop at the Pig 'n Pancake for strawberry crepes. I will be making more tomato sauce this weekend because the tomatoes just keep on going and we can't eat them fast enough.

  5. Very nice. We had our strawberries in June. Here, it's raspberries, and they're delicious too. Jam and pie. I just learned to love Greek yogurt. Where have I been?
