Dropping inches is hard to do at any age...

We keep our trees short and trimmed of dead wood. Do we do the same with our figures?  Some of us are lucky and don't have to watch our weight much.  Some of us do nothing but.

Hubby and I have embarked on a slim-down path.  We both carry extra pounds that are interfering with our normal routines, and threaten our future lifestyle.  So, here is our resolve:

We will lose enough pounds/inches to fit comfortably loose in our present clothes. (We don't expect to buy new wardrobes, or change our lifestyle which is already lovely, by the way.)

We will do three things consistently. Daily, rain or shine, meetings or no meetings:
a. Walk every day, and add strength movements.
b. Cut serving size of meat and starches.
c. Expand  vegetables at every meal.

So far, just a few days in our new resolve, our bodies are cooperating beautifully.
The big challenge is adding vegetables to breakfast!

Adding greens is an easy way to control carbs, and provide our bodies with extra roughage and extra vitamins.  Here is the plan for breakfast:

Monday, W, F= spinach / chard / mushrooms omelets
Tuesday, S, S= ratatouille, peppers and tomatoes, zucchini and other squashes served as side dishes to ham, sausage, salmon rilette, cottage cheese.
