Right on your table!

I spoke about growing lettuce indoors. Well, if you get four, five trays like this one, and do some sequential seeding of mixed lettuces, two, three weeks apart, you will have baby greens all winter long, right on your kitchen counter or ....

Most greens will bolt in summer after a couple of weeks. If you carefully select the seeds and keep them in paper bags, you can then sew a few at a time, and continue to snip and eat all the greens you want, all tender and young.

Left over seeds?

Sprinkle them on your salads, add them to your vinaigrette, spread them on sandwiches.
Seeds, tender leaves, they will delight your palate and your pocketbook.

Happy gardening.

  1. This is such a useful idea. We are back on the weight watcher's counting wagon, taking off those pesky pounds that insist on returning. This would be a great help.
